Conrad Hamill is a pianist, cellist, educator, music director and a graduate of a Bachelor of Music at the Sydney Conservatorium. He has extensive experience across a range of disciplines in the Australian professional music theatre and classical music industries. His recent credits as Music Director include Side Show (One Eyed Man Productions) the 2016 Carols by Cabaret (Marika Aubrey and Highway Run Productions), and Hispanic Attack! (One Eyed Man Productions). Prior to this Conrad has worked as either a pit musician or accompanist for Violet (Blue Saint Productions), Spring Awakening (ATYP), Melba (New Musicals Australia), House Warming (New Musicals Australia) and Spring Awakening (StageTek). Conrad has also appeared as a TV musician on both The X Factor and The Morning Show.
While performing professionally in the industry is a great thrill for him, music education is also a great interest of Conrad's. Fortunately he was able to combine the two of these working recently with Federation University, music directing the 3rd year Bachelor of Music Theatre students' cabaret, Pitch - An Evening of Cabaret, performed at Slide Lounge. Conrad also teaches voice and music theatre at Australian Performing Arts Grammar School and Brent Street Studios and as of 2017, he was appointed the Head of Cello at Inaburra School. In addition to his teaching and performing, Conrad is working on his Master of Sustainability thesis at the University of Sydney, exploring effective and sustainable models for education.
Conrad co-founded Little Triangle in order to provide a platform for emerging creatives and performers to engage with and develop their craft.
